Move the app to the Trash. The only thing left behind is ~/Library/Application Support/{app}/ — delete that folder and it is completely gone.

Three moves

Grab, bundle, move as one.

Press a step, or grab a handle in the picture yourself. Drop one handle onto another and they bundle right there, with a king handle on top. It is the same sequence as the real app.

A cluttered desk

Paint Pick a color and click a window to put it in that bundle (two or more raise a King handle ♛)

Every window gets a big handle. No more missing a thin title bar and raising the wrong window instead.
Paint related windows the same color. They connect with stretchy gum, and one King handle (♛) appears for the bundle.
Drag the King and the whole bundle follows. Press ▦ and the bundle tiles itself to fit however many windows it has — and still moves as one afterwards.

Why this exists

The windows multiply. You still have two hands.

One piece of research spreads a PDF, an editor, a browser and a reference video across the desk. They all belong to the same job, but you move them one at a time. You miss the thin title bar and raise something unrelated. You step away, come back, and the layout is gone.

Sightkeep removes the "one at a time". Paint the related windows the same color. That is the whole setup — after that they move, tile, tuck away and come back as a bundle.

Grab

A handle you can actually hit: Press ⌃⌥T, pick a color, click a window. That window gets a handle, and you drag it from there.
Reel in and send back: Double-click a handle and the window shrinks back to it. Double-click again and it returns to exactly where it was.
Position lock: The lock button pins position and size. An accidental drag will not move it. Close and minimize still work.

Bundle

Color = group: Windows painted the same color are one bundle. Press ⌃⌥T, pick a color from the palette, then click each window you want in the bundle.
The King handle ♛: One parent handle per bundle. It is the control point for the whole set. Right-click it to break the bundle up.
Name your bundles: Call a bundle "Research" or "Invoices". The name survives a restart.

As one

Everything follows: Drag the King and every window in the bundle keeps its relative position and follows. Windows arrive on a spring, slightly behind.
▦ Auto-tile: Tiles the bundle to its own window count: two side by side, three with a wide middle, four in quarters, six or more on a grid.
Close the whole bundle: The red button on the King closes every window in the bundle, after one confirmation. Unsaved work is still asked about by each app itself.
Your setup comes back: Quit and reopen, and the previous colors and bundles are matched back onto the windows you have open.

Measured

The stretch is physics, and it was measured.

The follow engine was measured on a real machine. The conditions are printed below the numbers.

Follow latency (median): 13ms
Backwards jitter: 0
Idle CPU: 0.6–0.8%

Conditions: MacBook Pro (Apple silicon) / macOS 26.5.1 / 120 Hz. Both the target and overlay window coordinates were sampled from an external process at roughly 500 Hz; latency is the positional shortfall along the direction of travel divided by speed. Figures are for the mouse-delta-lock configuration; p95 was 28–43 ms. Backwards jitter was zero across all four apps tested.

Before you buy

Where it runs — and where it does not.

What it cannot do today

A handle only appears on the desktop (Space) where you attached it. Switch to another Space and that window’s handle is not there.
Full-screen windows are out of scope. Windows parked on another Stage Manager stage cannot be brought forward at the same time — macOS keeps only one center stage.
There is no settings window, no auto-update and no tutorial yet — everything runs from the menu bar item and the two hotkeys. There is no Windows version, and multi-display behavior has not been measured.

Before you hand a background app that permission

What it does with Accessibility — and what it never does.

On macOS, no app can move another app’s windows without Accessibility permission. It is a strong permission, so here is what is behind it.

What it does

Reads and sets window position and size: Used for handle dragging, bundle moves and auto-tiling.
Reads the list and coordinates of open windows: So the handle can follow its window. It reads the frame, not the contents.
Saves your bundles on this Mac: App name, window name, group color, position and size — that is all. It lives in one file: ~/Library/Application Support/com.xinogi.suite/grip/state.json.

What it never does

Your screen never leaves your Mac: It reaches the network only to check your license and to look for updates. Screen content is never sent.
Never captures your screen: It does not request Screen Recording permission and never reads window contents.
Never logs keystrokes: Hotkeys are registered with macOS, so it only hears ⌃⌥T and ⌃⌥C. Left mouse clicks and drags are intercepted only while a locked window is being defended.
Never closes or saves behind your back: "Close the bundle" asks once, and each app still asks about its own unsaved changes.

How to turn it off

System Settings > Privacy & Security > Accessibility, switch Sightkeep off, and it can do nothing from that second on. To drop just the handles, press ⌃⌥C. To uninstall, move the app to the Trash and delete that one settings folder.

One key, one more app

Keep just the part you need, live, where you need it.

The other half of Sightkeep is LiveFramePin. It lifts a screen region, or part of an app, into a live pin you can move. Streams, dashboards, code reviews, reference material — kept in view while you work. If Tsumami UI is the tool for clearing windows away, this is the tool for keeping something in sight. One key activates both.

Source Pin

A region of one app, kept live.

Pick the app first, then mark exactly the part you want to follow. The changing region keeps showing, even on top of another page or layer. You can cut from the whole screen or from one specific app.

Even what lives on another desktop stays within reach. Source-pin the monitor you have open on desktop 3, go back to desktop 1, and the pin is still there — with what is happening over there still moving. No more going across and back.

Three steps. New Pin (or ⌃⌥⌘P) → drag once over the live region you want to keep → set position and opacity, then save.

OBS

Works with OBS without a fight.

Every pin is its own macOS window. In OBS you select only the pins you want as window captures, and the live view you are already watching goes straight into the scene.

What it cannot do, and what it needs (stated up front)

Requirements — LiveFramePin needs macOS 14 or newer and Screen Recording permission. (Tsumami UI needs Accessibility only, and never uses Screen Recording.)
A source pin needs its source visible — if the target app is minimised or hidden, or Stage Manager stops the capture, the pin pauses until the source comes back.
DRM and protected content — macOS or the provider may render it black. LiveFramePin does not work around protection.
Nothing leaves your screen on its own — live pins are displayed locally. Snapshot images and annotations are saved on your Mac.

The price gets decided on launch day.

Frequently asked questions

What does "one-time purchase" include?

There is no subscription. You keep using the version you bought. A future major upgrade may be sold separately, and new macOS releases may require an app update.

Can I get a refund?

The plan is to accept refund requests within 14 days of purchase when the app does not work as described and support cannot fix it. The exact terms will be published as a refund page at launch.

How is this different from Magnet or Rectangle?

Those snap one window into a fixed screen position, and for that job they are faster. Sightkeep works on bundles: move a color-grouped set together, tile it to its own window count, close it in one go, and get it back on the next launch.

Does it run on Intel Macs or Windows?

Both — a single Universal 2 build carries arm64 and x86_64, so it runs on Apple silicon and Intel Macs. There is no Windows version; the app is built on the macOS Accessibility API, so another OS would need a separate implementation.

What happens if I revoke Accessibility permission?

The handles stop being able to do anything from that second. Your windows and data are untouched; grant it again and it works again.

Is a background app going to slow my Mac down?

Idle CPU measured 0.6–0.8% on the machine described above. It only rises while you are dragging.

How do I remove it?

Move the app to the Trash. The only thing left behind is ~/Library/Application Support/com.xinogi.suite/grip/ — delete that folder and it is completely gone.
